What does the refreshed National Plan for Music Education in England mean for you?

On Wednesday 29th June, Music Mark hosts two webinars to present the refreshed National Plan for Music Education. 

'The power of music to change lives: a national plan for music education' was released on 25th June 2022. You can now read the plan, our summary and more resources on our website here.

From 10am to 11.30am:

  • The DfE and DCMS (who are the co-authors of this plan) will present
  • Arts Council England will also present on how the plan fits with their Let’s Create strategy
  • The presentations will be followed by some time for facilitated Q&A

From 1.30pm to 3pm:

  • We will hear how the plan relates to different areas of the music education sector
  • There’ll be presentations from members of the ‘Expert Panel’ including Sarah Alexander, Catherine Barker, Carolyn Baxendale, Phil Castang and YolanDa Brown
  • There will be some time for facilitated Q&A  

After each webinar, Music Mark and MEC will co-host a one-hour ‘Big Meet’, open to members of both organisations.

Recordings of both webinars will be sent to all attendees shortly after the event.
